Partitions, linings and ceilings
PKBC's drylining division carries out all types of drylining works: metal stud partitions, plasterboard linings and walls, suspended ceilings, feature walls, bulkheads and glazed partitions. We work in a huge variety of commercial buildings, providing drylining services direct to our clients or alongside a main contractor.
Drylining is also known as plasterboarding, dry wall, wallboard or gypsum board. Whatever your programme calls it, we deliver it mostly in commercial environments, where speed, price and ease of installation are highly important factors.
The same crews work on the industrial and energy-sector buildings PKBC is known for, framing and boarding at height from powered access under full site rules.
What we install
Direct to our clients or alongside a main contractor, in a huge variety of commercial buildings.
Metal stud partitions
Full-height partition systems set out, framed and boarded to programme.
Suspended ceilings
Grid and plasterboard ceiling systems, installed from powered access where needed.
Plasterboard dry lining
Board linings to masonry and frame, fixed and finished ready for decoration.
Plasterboard walls
Stud and board walls, taped and jointed for a snag-free handover.
Feature walls & bulkheads
Framed features and bulkheads that tie partitions, ceilings and services together.
Glazed partitions
Glazed partition systems as part of commercial fit-out packages.
Skimming and plaster finishes
Alongside taping and jointing, our crews deliver plaster skimming to plasterboard and blockwork walls: substation skimming for control rooms and switchgear buildings, and industrial skimming for plant halls and process areas. One team takes the wall from board to painted finish.
Raised access floors
We install raised access floor systems in control rooms and substation buildings, including the full raised access floor package delivered at the Beatrice 400/220kV substation at Blackhillock.
